Due to a weird combination of offline regions (including the one currently hosting my product server) and other Second Life glitches, and possibly a bug in my vendor code, I woke up this morning to discover that a dishonest SL resident was able to completely drain my $L balance.
lisa11 glom had discovered a way to take advantage of the fact that my vendors will issue a refund if they can’t deliver the product, but due to last night’s Second Life issues were delivering double refunds, to repeatedly drain money from my account until it was empty.
Due to this issue, a severe shortage of free time, and so much anger I can’t even see straight, I have deleted all of my in-world vendors and will not be replacing them right away. When I do find the time, I will carefully research the issue and will replace the in-world vendors.
Until that time, residents may purchase Daikon Forge products on XStreetSL only.
It’s days like this that make me consider leaving SL entirely

Looks like she got banned as she’s not showing up in avatar search anymore. (but still in the all search.)
Hopefully you’ll see your $L back. :O
I haven’t seen any money returned yet nor have I heard anything from Linden Lab. I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for my money back, but I am very glad to hear that she didn’t get away with stealing!
Hopefully in the next few days I can make some adjustments to my vendor scripts that will make them more resilient in the face of LL bugginess so that this doesn’t happen again.
I find it amazing that people refuse to do the right thing. Offenses like that should have a permanent ban which should include there IP address.
I agree.
I just can’t understand how people can justify these kinds of actions to themselves. It’s not like she can say “it’s a victimless crime” or “I’m stealing from some nameless corporation who will never know and never be harmed”, she stole from me directly and knowingly. lisa11 glom must be a sociopath as well as a despicable person, and you’d think that LL would want to ensure that she never returns.
And on a lighter note…
Robby,
We are all with you and stand with you. Tendai Shu will do what it can to help you through this. This is as bad as it gets and I understand your anger. She messed with the wrong person. You suddenly have alot of friends standing with you. When she did this to you, she did this to all of us.
Thank you for that, Saphire, I appreciate the sentiment. I don’t know that there’s much that can be done, but I’d be satisfied to know that lisa11 got banned
I should probably point out that I’m more pissed about the fact that this person stole from me than about how much $L I lost. In truth, I am somewhat fortunate to have only had about 8000 $L in my account at the time, since I had cashed out most of my balance about six hours before lisa11 did her thing.
So it’s not really the money, it’s the fact that this person was so despicable as to take advantage of a server error to steal from me that pisses me off.
greetings Robby,
was curious why the vendors disappeared. so sorry to hear that D:
- taketori fan who hopes you won’t leave sl ^^
I plan to revise the vendors this weekend, and I’ve got a design that I think will eliminate the chances of this happening again.
In other news… I got the following message from Archanox this morning, apparently lisa11 glom has an alt already, and sent this to Arch:
How do you like that? First of all, he/she gives a lame-ass excuse/lie for what she did, totally lies about the amount of money involved, then ends the message with a threat.
This is truly a despicable person
OMG, what a bitch. I can’t imagine anyone that stupid and still know how to operate a PC.
yeah… There’s definitely something not wired right in that person’s brain, I cannot think of any other explanation
OMG, I missed your vendors this morning and was on the way to write an IM. But first I always take a look on your website and see what has happened.
I am really sorry and I understand very well your frustration and yes on days like this you ask yourself, why so much time for SL.
Anyway we all hope to see your vendors again, dont forget us
I hope to find the time today to put the vendors back out in-world. The lack of sales is absolutely killing me, but I’ve been so wrapped up lately in building my new weapon that I keep forgetting to update the vendor code
Any plans when to place the vendors inworld again? We miss it
I’ve been having problems with Second Life for the last two days, problems bad enough that it was simply impossible to do anything.
I hope to get this done ASAP, though, and will make every effort to do so

Wow, sorry about your loss of money and more importantly loss of trust in the SL community. I always thot the swordmakers were these people you can’t approach until you came along, Robby. I guess this horrible person just pushed you further from us
Please keep the faith. 99% truly appreciate the good work you do to enhance the C:SI scene
Well, they did make me plenty angry, no question about it, but they didn’t push me further from the community.
I haven’t been in-world lately because I’ve been hard at work on my next weapon, and… It’s taking FOREVER, unfortunately. I’m trying to create something that is very simple, yet as detailed and true to life as I can, and I’m finding out that I’m just not as good as I thought, lol.
Here’s what I mean, take a look at the following two snapshots:

It’s kind of what I’m looking for, but not quite, and I’m not quite sure what to do about it. I’m not a creative type at all, and in fact before SL I’d never even tried this sort of stuff, so I’m just kind of stumbling along trying to figure it out as I go
Thank you all for the kind words, it is much appreciated!
Hai Hai Robby,
We all feel the pain somewhat with you, either disgust, anger, or just thinking of a way to bash him/her back. Second Life is a leader in its field and we have all come a long way. Developers of all types, making SL work right, seems to be rolling along. This person that knowlingly robbed you, smiling with every refund, actually a type of griever of the worst type will some day maybe have a close encounter of the third type (smiles). We know what you are Robby, and we know what your heart is made of, especially me since i’ve worked with you and your close associates helping with the kinks in your products. RE: Every email answered. Don’t let the dead heads win. Hang tight with us, we all want you. See you on the mat.
You guys are great, you know that? Name any other community in Second Life this great, and I’ll eat my hakama!
I am sorry for what happened you.
Thanks for your great work.
I hope i will see a new sword!
Have a good day
Rob
