New Vendors now in testing phase

I’ve updated my vendor scripts to (hopefully) remove the possibility of people exploiting circumstances similar to the recent event that allowed an unscrupulous resident to drain my account, and I have placed the updated vendors in two in-world locations: My primary store in Anhalt Hill, and the main Combat: Samurai Island store at the Samurai Island mall.

My plan at this point is to give the vendors a couple of days of usage so that I can see if there are any unanticipated problems before I roll them out to the rest of the locations where I (used to) have vendors.

At this point, due to the stupid 25-group limit, I am no longer necessarily a member of a group that will allow me to place vendors in previous locations, and if you are a mall owner or land owner where I used to have a vendor, I may need another group invite before I can return the vendors to your location. 

Hopefully the new version will prove to be robust and stable, and I’ll be able to do a full rollout in the very near future :)

    I’ve not seen any problems so far, so if everything continues to go well I think it’ll be safe to do the full rollout this weekend.

    No, and there’s never been any indication that I’m going to, either. Linden Lab has never once communicated with me on this matter :(

    Ugh…. Spent the better part of the last two days dealing with a dead hard drive, finally got it fixed (YAY for Linux-on-a-stick), but I’m just too tired to deal with vendors right now :(

    Okay, here’s the plan : I need to eat and help the kids get ready for a trip to the Zoo, then I’ll log in and set the new vendors out :)

    Sorry about the endless delays, it’s really been a madhouse in my RL lately. Hopefully things are returning to some semblance of normal soon, and I’ll be able to be more responsive and in-world more.
